Left car at Rt. 105 to hitchhike back.
Jay pass at dusk, fierce cold wind and no traffic
two cars after 15 minutes, but picked up by the third. Phew!

Section three: Jay Pass to Hazen's Notch

Attempted: November 21 to Gilpin Mtn. and return, beautiful fresh snow, but started to late.

Section four: Hazen's Notch to Eden Crossing

Encountered: 1 Moose, 0 Humans

Completely lost the trail on Belvidere Mtn
with one hour of light remaining, this was disconcerting,
but relieved with the sight of the fire tower.
A quick decent to Eden crossing and made it out by dark.
